Zestril — is an antihypertensive medication from the ACE group used to treat retinopathy or diabetic nephropathy, heart failure and arterial hypertension. Zestril contains Lisinopril. Lisinopril is categorically contraindicated in people with a particular susceptibility to Lisinopril and other ingredients of this drug, in lactation, pregnancy, aortic stenosis and angioedema. Indications

The drug is taken orally regardless of food intake regime. Patients with arterial hypertension who do not take other antihypertensives are prescribed 5 mg once a day. If there’s no effect, the dose is increased every 2-3 days by 5 mg to an average therapeutic dose of 20-40 mg / (increasing the dose above 40 mg usually does not lead to a further decrease in blood pressure). The usual daily maintenance dose is 20 mg. The maximum daily dose is 40 mg. Contraindications

Side effects
